Ray Long's Tackle World

Our Store

Our store is situated in the western suburbs of Geelong at 105 Shannon Avenue, Manifold Heights. We're located only minutes away from both St. Helen's and Limeburners Point (the two major launching ramps Geelong) and the Barwon River, 25 minutes from Queenscliff and 50 minutes from Melbourne CBD. 20 minutes will see you wetting a line in our closest freshwater impoundment, Wordi Boluc Reservoir and one hour to the world class fisheries of Lake Purrumbete and Bullen Merri.

Ray Long's Tackle World is rich in history, from humble beginnings in a garage at a house in May 1966. Since that time, the store has moved to larger premises five times, all on the western side of Geelong. After working in the store for ten years, Brian Long (one of Ray's sons) took over management of the business. August 2005 saw the store join the Tackle World group, bringing top quality service, knowledge and products together in a nation wide buying group.
